The Power Of Mantras

Through the past few days, as a way to anchor the light, I have been watching Deva Premal and Mitens weekly healing meditations. It’s great way to balance out the energies during these times when so there is so much tension and uncertainty. Through listening to their singing of Mantras and participating in the meditations, I have experienced really beautiful healing at a deep level. While the election events unfold, I have found the mantras incredibly centering.

The Mantra they use for the meditation in most videos is the Gayatri Mantra. I first learned this mantra from my teacher Stuart Wilde back in 2010. I have most often used it to raise the frequency in the spaces I spend the a lot of time in. I have always had a strong connection to it.

But these videos, have brought me to a deeper understanding and experience of the Gayatri Mantra. I have never done the traditional recital of it repeated 108 times until I found these videos by Deva and Miten. I recommend this practice to anyone who feels a connection to any mantra. To briefly sum up my experience with it, I felt the vibrations build in my body as I recited it. Then as the vibrations increased, I felt it release blocks in my body. And towards the end it became a vividly visionary experience full of light.

Even if you didn’t have such an experience the first time, the feeling of calm and peace afterward would be undeniable. Especially in tough and chaotic times, I highly recommend checking out their videos. They have a way of lovingly pulling you back to yourself. After all going inside is the best way out.
